Nicole Meng
Chair
Nicole Meng is a third-year History of Public Policy and Law major. She is from the San Gabriel Valley, California, but spent some time living in Liaoning, China as well. In her free time, she enjoys watching video essays, reading, gaming, exploring new restaurants, and being chronically online. She knows the spots if you ever need food or activity recommendations in LA. Her most prized possession is her TikTok saved folder because it holds a myriad of movie and TV show edits that make her cry on random Tuesday afternoons. She lives for pop-culture moments and constantly quotes online content. Do not track her digital footprint. She is incredibly excited to serve as the chair of Press Corp for SBIMUN this year and looks forward to seeing everyone’s entertaining creations.

Julian Alexandrov
Co-Chair
Julian is a second year Chemical Engineering major and is from Sofia, Bulgaria. He joined the amazing MUN team at UCSB in the spring quarter of his freshman year. Outside of MUN, Julian does research, loves traveling, and recently started DJing (he is looking for a new DJ name so if you have any ideas please let him know). After he graduates, he hopes to go into either the pharmaceutical, oil and gas, or defense industry. This will be his first time chairing and is very much looking forward to an amazing conference!

Josh Whitesel
Crisis Director
Josh Whitesel is a fourth-year Communication & Film and Media Studies student from the great city of Sacramento, CA. He is also the incumbent President of the REALITY UCSB filmmaking club, where he watches every film grow from conception to completion like a proud (yet distant) uncle. He is terminally online and was inspired to design this committee by Weird Twitter posters like Dril and Faith Girlcel. He is also an avid baseball fan and if you say anything bad about the Giants he will cry (and probably agree with you).
