Crisis: The Ad Hoc Committee of the Secretary-General
---
The topic of the committee will be revealed during the first session of the conference. Hints regarding the topic of SBI XVII Adhoc will begin to be released a week before the conference.
This is a single-delegate crisis committee. The Adhoc Committee of the Secretary General is designed for experienced crisis delegates.

Julian alexandrov
Chair
Julian is a third-year Chemical Engineering major from Sofia, Bulgaria! He joined the UCSB Model UN team in winter of his first year and has been a crisis del ever since. Outside of MUN, you can find him in his research lab or crashing out in the library. He also LOVES (you can see my co-chair shamelessly copying my capitalized “LOVE” in her bio) traveling (partially why he enjoys MUN so much) and cooking for friends. Over the summer, he went to Taipei for a research program and was flying across Europe where had a very “fun” time (at the time of writing this, he is hoping to go see Bad Bunny in London and other “establishments” around, especially in Berlin). He is soooo excited to chair this committee and spend the whole weekend [REDACTED] and [SUPER REDACTED]. It will be especially interesting to hear about [SUPER DUPER REDACTED], as well as [DON’T EVEN TRY TO READ THIS!]. [FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM @julian_alexandrov]. . Can’t wait to see all of you soon and have a [WHATEVER COULD THIS BE?]. weekend! [JUST A REMINDER THAT MY CO-CHAIR IS COPYING MY BIO] (He guesses he should also mention that he’s a head del/crisis trainer since the others have done so in their bios)

Lizzie Gladson-Pang
Co-Chair
Lizzie is a second-year political science major with a recent minor in religious studies. She’s from Arcadia, California (shoutout 626 #boba) and is super excited for SBI this year! She joined UCSB Model UN in her freshman year winter quarter, and she’s been living in perpetual fear that someone will snipe her in the Slack channel ever since. She loves Model UN, her friends, frozen yogurt, Lorde, and Santa Barbara, so she's super excited to be hosting a conference that has it all (minus Lorde and frozen yogurt). If you’re exploring Isla Vista or downtown, she recommends Blenders for smoothies, Urban Flea Market for souvenirs, The Daisy for brunch, and McConnell’s for ice cream! She finds it weird she’s writing all this in third person, but she literally can’t wait a second longer for the conference!!!! (it's May as she’s writing this.) She hopes you all LOVE the ad-hoc this year (or else) and have so much fun in sunny Santa Barbara!

Sophia Brockmiller
Crisis Director
Sophia is a third-year political science and English double major from Manhattan Beach, California. In addition to being the Crisis Director for this year’s Adhoc, she also serves as the President of UCSB Model United Nations. Sophia is ecstatic to be the CD for this year’s committee, and looking forward to [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and seeing you all debate the fun elements of [REDACTED]. In addition to being involved in all things MUN at UCSB, she also serves as an editor in the Undergraduate Law Journal, a Campus Project Liaison for Associated Students, and works at a Law Firm remotely. In the little free time Sophia has, she loves going to the beach, getting matchas with friends, and forcing everyone around her to watch her newest musical obsession (right now that’s Merrily We Roll Along as the Netflix proshot was just released). Sophia is so excited to host you all in sunny Santa Barbara and to be your CD for this fun weekend.
